male caregivers

What I would like to know is, how easy it is for male live-in caregivers to find jobs in Canada. I've heard that almost no one will hire a male nanny!

Therefore, is it a good idea for me to try to immigrate to Canada as a Live-in Caregiver?

While it is true that it is usually easier for women to find caregiver jobs than it is for men, it is certainly not true that there are no jobs for men. There are some jobs where males are preferred as in the case where a caregiver is needed by a disabled or an elderly man. And men have been hired as caregivers of children (nannies), but this is not common. So don't let that fear stop you if this is really your dream.
