I'm currently an eighteen-year-old American looking to work as a nanny/live-in caregiver, preferably in Canada as an au pair. I already have a family very much wishing for me to work for them and we have been talking over the phone for the past eight months or so and both the parent and the two children have been both talking on the phone and interacting over web-cam to ensure employer-family-employee compatibility. Now that we are positive that I'm the person for the job, we went looking into how to make it a reality and have found that the only thing that I am in lack of is the six-months of training/full year of applicable work experience (ongoing). Would I be able to get the same in-class training down in the states or is the best method to have training in Canada and does anyone know of any training schools down in the states?
