This morning I received a question about the start dates for my course. Kathleen was wondering if they run only once a year.
The answer is "No, I have set up the course so that it can be started at the beginning of any month. The course is made up of a series of rotating modules. For example, for the last three weeks of July, I will be teaching "Nutrition" and then "Communication Skills" and for the last three weeks of August, I will teach "Care of the Elderly". I will teach those same modules again six months later. So you can start the course the first weekday of any month and finish six months later having done all the modules with everyone else who will do the same thing but not necessarily in the same order. The first week of each month is unique in that everyone is working on different modules depending on where they are in the course.
Because of the challenge of obtaining student visas and making big life changes which often take time and can not necessarily be done on a schedule, I find this flexibility makes the program more accessible.
Hope this answers your question Kathleen! Feel free to ask more anytime.

Hi!
You have too many questions to answer on this forum. I suggest you contact me directly via the Contact page on my website. Briefly, it is easy to apply for the course...as long as you meet the qualifications (grade 12, and a genuine interest in caring for others) but in some countries it is quite difficult to get a visa to come to Canada. Vietnam is one of those countries. Check Immigration Canada's webpage to see how you apply for a visa. I have found that a Letter of Acceptance to this school does not help much in getting a student visa because, to get a student visas you must prove that you intend to return home at the end of the study period and when you ask to study caregiving, it is difficult for most people to do that because usually they intend to find a job, get a work permit, and stay. Immigration Canada officials are often not comfortable with this plan and so they often just refuse the visa.
For people who can get a visitor's visa none of this is an issue because you are allowed to study for up to six months on a visitor's visa so you can come here and do the training, often finding a job while you do so and then take it from there.
But contact me directly if you still have questions.
